Sogetel is one of the largest independent licensees to offer telecommunications services in Quebec. It mainly serves rural areas. As a licensee, it provides basic local residential telephone and business customer service. In addition, it offers a full range of telecommunication services such as television service, Internet, and mobile telephony.

Sogetel's mission, like the other 8 independent companies that are members of the Quebec Telephone Companies Association, is to meet the needs of customers by offering affordable and quality products and services in accordance with established standards. by the Canadian Radio-television and Telecommunications Commission (CRTC).

The Sogetel Group (including its subsidiaries) currently serves more than 32,000 telephone access lines in Quebec in five different administrative regions:

• 20 municipalities in Chaudières-Appalaches;

• 2 municipalities in Estrie;

• 8 municipalities in La Mauricie;

• 8 cities and municipalities in Center-du-Québec; and

• a municipality in the Montérégie.

The territory has a total of 4,790 square kilometers and is connected by a hybrid network of optical fibers and copper wires.

The Sogetel Group currently employs more than 160 people.

 

Currently, the Sogetel Group offers 5 customer service points located in the city of Nicolet, the city of Warwick, the municipality of Lac-Etchemin, Beauceville and the municipality of Saint-Paulin in the region of Maskinongé on the North Shore of St. Lawrence River. A team of computer technicians is based in Saint-Liboire to answer calls for support for IP services, namely the Internet, Voice, and Television.
